Q1 2024 Feedback from Adam Covariant

• Ollie is a proactive team member who has displayed strong project management skills and excellent collaborative attitude, while working on two initiatives, the Kitting Active project and the Unified HMI Active initiative. His ability to collaborate positively, carry a project through, and improve technical execution, marks him as a valuable member of the team. To reach the next level, it’s recommended that he continue strengthening his technical depth, and proactively seek the appropriate scope of impact and engagement within the company.

• Collaborative Work

  • Strength: Ollie has shown great initiative and effectiveness in moving our Unified HMI Active initiative forward. He has collaborated with RD Covariant and Tristan Covariant in initiating a comprehensive code audit and planning sprints for enhancing our HMI framework.

- Strength: In handling challenges faced by the Kitting engineering team, Ollie demonstrated effective organization and problem-solving skills. His creation of issue trackers in JIRA and Airtable helped improve the team's ability to track and prioritize issues, significantly enhancing technical execution.

• Influence on Teams

  • Strength: Ollie’s peers have noted his commitment to collaboration, enthusiasm in leading retrospectives, and strong project management skills, praising his balance between motivating the team and handling customer pressures adeptly.

• Scaling Impact

  • Growth Area: Ollie needs to apply more focus towards aiding scalability through the Unified HMI initiative; his efforts here will expand his impact in a cross-functional and company-wide capacity.

• Decision Making

  • Growth Area: While Ollie has made progress in making faster decisions on ambiguous problems, there’s still room for improvement. Development feedback suggests that he should enhance his technical knowledge to better support product decision making.

  • Growth Area: While Ollie is respected for his strong communication skills, project management, and collaborative attitude, the shift in his focus from day-to-day Kitting team leadership has resulted in a perceived decrease in his immediate impact. It has been suggested that Ollie should more proactively create roles where he believes he can make most impact in the company.
