Advice on not getting distracted:

  1. Make a plan

    • “The opposite of distraction is traction”

    • Distraction - taking you away from something you want to do

    • Traction - making progress on it

    • Can only make progress when you have a plan

  2. Recognize my feelings (longer lasting)

  3. Do one thing at at time

  4. Work until focus drops, rather than time boxing

  5. Take actual time off with something that does not make new obligations

    • For example, don’t
  6. Eat like an adult, do exercise (perhaps in the morning), get enough sleep
